PAILY Terms of Service
These terms define the rules for providing electronic services to users of the PAILY platform.

Important notice
PAILY is an individual project in an early stage of development and is operated by a natural person who is not registered as a commercial entity. The service does not enable real purchases or real payment processing. Payment functions and third-party integrations operate only in demo or simulated mode.
The only fully active features are the contact form (email delivery) and the remaining features that do not require integrations with external providers.
1. General provisions
PAILY is a platform for QR payments and bill settlement in restaurants. These terms apply to the website, the staff panel, and guest-facing restaurant flows.
The service provider is a natural person running the PAILY project and is not registered as a commercial entity. Contact with the service provider:
2. Definitions
- Service Provider - the operator of the PAILY platform.
- Restaurant - an entity using the staff panel and management features.
- Guest - a person using the public view after scanning a table QR code.
- Staff Account - a user account with an operational or managerial role within a restaurant.
3. Scope of the service
- handling table bills and payments (including partial payments),
- sharing bills and confirmations with guests,
- managing tables, menus, and receipts in the restaurant panel,
- handling staff accounts and basic restaurant settings.
4. Technical and security requirements
- an up-to-date device and browser with Internet access are required,
- the user must protect their login credentials,
- actions that compromise service security are prohibited,
- the service provider may temporarily limit access for maintenance or security reasons.
5. Accounts and permissions
Access to the staff panel requires authorisation. Permissions are granted according to the roles assigned within the restaurant (for example OWNER, MANAGER, STAFF). The restaurant is responsible for the correctness of account data and the granted access scope.
6. Payments and settlements
- at the current stage of development, all payment functions operate only in demo mode and no real financial transactions are executed,
- amounts and bill status are calculated on the PAILY backend,
- once an external payment provider is enabled, confirmations and receipts will be shared after the transaction is closed,
- the payment provider may process transaction data as a separate controller.
7. Liability
The service provider is responsible for operating the platform with due care. The service provider is not liable for interruptions caused by third parties (for example telecom operators, hosting providers, or payment operators) or for the consequences of user-side breaches of these terms.

9. Intellectual property rights
The software, interface layout, and PAILY branding are protected by law. Copying, decompiling, or using the service outside the limits permitted by law or agreement is prohibited.
10. Changes to the terms
These terms may be updated along with product changes and legal requirements. The current version is published at `/terms` together with the date of the last update.
11. Final provisions
In matters not covered by these terms, Polish law applies, including the regulations on providing electronic services and personal data protection.
